Working with Dr. Camden Clay, D.C., I helped write the Thai Massage program at the Atlanta School of Massage. I have personally taught more that 100 classes of this elegant, effective art. I use my body weight in concert with gravity to achieve tremendous, stable pressure (when indicated), as well as utilizing hands, feet, knees and elbows while performing this ancient, extremely powerful modality. You wear loose, comfortable clothing while lying on a mat on the floor.
Deep joint stretching, yoga-like poses, increased blood and lymph flow and deep relaxation are hallmarks of Thai Massage. One of my clients called it “assisted napping”.
